Hello hello hello!
So, recently I’ve seen a lot of ‘what’s in my bag’ style posts so I thought I’d do something a little bit different and show you what’s inside my makeup bag instead.
Now recently, I’ve been trying to stop myself from splashing out on new high end makeup and making sure I use up my high street branded makeup first! Surprisingly it’s been a lot easier than I thought it would be – some of the finishes have really made me question why I stopped using the product in the first place.
So let’s get started:
This makeup bag is definitely the best one I’ve owned, it has so much room in it and the pattern is really cute. It was also super inexpensive since it came from primark!
I bought this foundation a couple of months ago whilst travelling around the UK. I was looking for something light that gives full coverage and this does just that! A small pump and it’s enough to completely cover my face, also giving it a glowing finish.
This is the first Rimmel primer I’ve ever owned and I must say I’m fairly impressed with it. The smallest blob goes such a long way! Unlike some primers I’ve tried before, this one has no scent to it which is great and it definitely does the job. I’ll 100% be purchasing another one once this runs out!
Another thing that I’ve stared using daily is this pro formula tired eyes roll on. It’s so good when you’ve had a sleepless night and helps wake up the eyes as well as removing dark circles underneath them. So if you’re like me and stuggle to sleep sometimes, I’d definitely recommend this product!
Moving onto the eyes, I have the w7 ‘in the nude’ pallet. Now I’m sure most of you would already know this but this pallet is fairly cheap and so pigmented! I’ve had it for a few months now and have only just started using it again, the colours are fault close to the urban decay naked pallets but at just a fraction of the price! (Can’t really go wrong).
Sticking with the eyes, I have recently purchased the seventeen high drama liquid eyeliner. Now, I usually struggle with this type of product as I’m so used to eyeliner pens but I thought I would challenge myself and I absolutely love it! It so easy to work with at creates the perfect wing!
Mascara wise, I thought I’d try a product at the lower end of the high street brands. This mascara is fairy easy to work with and doesn’t clump the lashes togyher. However, I’ve found after a long day it begins to go powdery and flake off the lashes onto my face βΉ
Moving onto the eyebrows, I tend to use the Avon eyebrow powder at the minute as its so easy to apply and only takes seconds. This colour matches my brows perfectly and stays on for the whole day. The product doesn’t move at all, ever if you in your brow! Very impressed!
Powder wise, I carry mineral magic. I feel like this product is highly underrated! It sets makeup so well and is extremely light on the face. The main thing about this product is that no matter how much you put on, it doesn’t give the ‘caked’ look. For me, it’s a good powder but still not one of my favourites.
To highlight the corner of my eyes I use this highlighter that came with a eyeshadow kit I got a while back (so unsure of the name). It’s extremely pigmented and stays on all day.
So there you have it, my high street makeup bag! If you have any products you think I should try out that you love them let me know! I’m always up for trying new brands and products.
Have a good day π
– Jess
